What others say

“Nice house, excellent view and Paulette is a fantastic person, always there to assist you and give you all the information you need during your stay on the island.”

Our family – there were eight of us – stayed at Evgenikon House on the tiny island of Oinousses for a week in early July 2019. It was magical – and so relaxing.
The island is small and beautiful; there are few tourists and the pace is relaxed. The sun shone every day and so we swam, and we ate, and we swam, we walked, we explored, and we ate some more.
We also spent a lot of time at Evgenikon House. That’s because the house is lovely, decorated in a mix of old world charm and new amenities. Located right in the heart of the main town, it was large enough to comfortably accommodate all of us; we were all able to enjoy our own space and be alone when we wanted to be. The focal point is the covered balcony that overlooks the town and harbour. ‘
Physically – the landscape and geography – it is gorgeous; the beaches are empty. Its charm is in its pace, compact size and the friendliness of its residents.
A holiday on Oinousses and at Evgenikon is for people who want to experience authentic life on a Greek island, where not everyone speaks English but will happily try. It is a good re-set from work life and the intensity of the big city. Our family highly recommends it!!

We stayed for a month in Evgenikon, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The villa has a lovely atmosphere, cosy, yet spacious, grand in part, yet welcoming. The layout is excellent, and the villa was functional, air conditioning in the bedrooms, and well equipped . Breakfasts would be in the dining hall, with the windows open for the breeze, drinks and supper on the terrace. And the most wonderful thing was the view. Sipping a drink at sunset, watching the sea go from azure to purple, the mountains of Chios slowly darkening, the sky  sometimes illuminated by a vivid red, was a great experience, never dulled by repetition. Paulette was always helpful, the island interesting, the inhabitants friendly. We all had a marvellous month, which still resonates in our memory.

We spent 17 days at Evgenikon House and it was a very good experience. The house is big, comfortable, fully equipped, with three bathrooms, a large kitchen and an amazing baLcony overlooking the harbor. It is ideal for spending a holiday with your family. The house lies in a very good position, a little above the harbor in a cool and airy place, very close to the bakery, supermarket and pharmacy.  The owner is very kind and has absolved every request. Moreover we have been able to count for every necessity on Dimitri and Eleni, two special people who take care of the maintenance of the house.

The main attraction is the pergola on the terrace with panoramic views and a mythical sunset. The rooms were spacious and clean with a separate fully equipped kitchen.
There was plenty of room for three adults (as we were) and there would probably be for a fourth too.
Paulette was friendly and helpful, ensuring we had a very enjoyable stay.

Quiet with unparalleled views and amazing terrace. Very good supply of bed linen, towels and kitchen equipment. Very close to shops (mini market, pharmacy, bakery).

From the pergola the sunsets and views of the bay and islands were stunning! The accommodation in The Patio Flat was very comfortable and impeccably clean. Paulette offered an introduction to the local tavernas, shops, beaches and walks. Oinousses provided us with a memorable Greek experience and we look forward to returning.

Oinousses is a fabulous holiday location in Greece — great beaches with plenty of walks and hiking to do. The Flat was very comfortable and clean with amazing views of the sea and surrounds.  Very close to the tavernas, local bakery and supermarket. I will definitely return to the Flat and the wonderful hospitality of the host.

The place is immaculate, extremely well maintained , decorated in the local color and taste. The view from the large veranda to the port, the islands and Chios is simply magnificent ! The host is a great person, always willing to make sure you are enjoying every minute of your stay.Thank you Paulette and see you next time !

Amazing place for an amazing island.

The flat was perfect, quiet and located in the heart of Oinousses town. The owner Paulette was super kind, giving us all the information to enjoy a stay on beautiful Oinousses island.
